Overall experience was great. A little glitch at the end getting the documents to escrow for my closing appointment, however closed a few weeks early. Would definitely recommend VU again and actually already have. Would recommend Tammy Hemmie and definitely would use VU in the future. This was a pleasant first time home buying experience for me. Thank you!
Tammy made the process easy and attainable even at difficult time. We would not have gotten our home if it wasn’t for Tammy. THANK YOU!
Always available and very professional
Love some, TH!
Made the whole processes easy. Thanks
Constant contact...super fun and very easy to work with. Always keep requirements visible and easy goals to attain.
Explained and re-explained how some of the fees were calculated. The industry uses terminology and "groups fees" in ways that normal folks aren't going to understand. Tammy helped break it down in simpler terms for me.
The staff I worked with was professional and courteous. The website was easy to navigate and was user friendly.I did have some issues with underwriting as they forgot to remove my VA funding fee (perk of disability rating). Additionally,The initial closing cost estimate was half of what I was being charged at closeout and I had to get 2 appraisals (only charged for 1) because the initial appraisal ordered was not a VA appraisal. After I brought those concerns to the staff I worked with, they were very responsive to address the issues quickly and we closed out with a good rate. The customer service was great, but had I not brought up my concerns about the charges seen, I would have paid a few thousand more at closing.I have used Veterans United for a refi before and have had overall good experiences. For new customers considering using their service, just be sure to compare initial estimates with follow up and final costs so you understand what you are paying for. Loan officers and underwriters have alot of accounts they manage and it's up to you to make sure you are getting the best rates to close.I thank Tammy and Kodi for their professional interactions.
