Too many times, our loan amount changed, or the situation with our VA loan was not explained at all.We had to pay above a loan limit, we were told randomly two days before closing. This was incorrect, but Jen had us convinced that the loan amount plus fees, and not just loan amount, was part of the loan limit. This was never discussed, from August until December, and when it was revealed to us, it took us putting our foot down and threatening to derail the whole process for her to research and find the solution for us. Of course, her idea that we owed anything above the loan limit was incorrect, as I suspected, but it took us fighting over it for her to do her diligence. Her communication with April John's, our realtor, was subpar. April should have been kept in the loop just as we should be; if not, our home buy could have failed. The only reason it did not is that I relayed everything to April for Jen. I assume this is due to inexperience on Jen's part; I'm sure in the future she will communicate with all parties equally and flatten communications.
