Glenn Leach, Kristie Storey and everyone at the Puyallup vu worked what i thought was beyond what would be expected. I feel very fortunate to have had them do my loan.

The first part seemed great, they sad they could get me a VA loan with nothing down and a great rate. I explained that I had never applied for a VA loan and was not sure I was eligible. They said if I was in the military I was eligible. Unconvinced, I told the VU representative that we were in the market for a second home and that our primary residence would continue to be our current residence in another state. The VU rep said that was not a problem and that we would still be eligible for the VA loan. I was skeptical and applied with a second mortgage company to get preapproved for a conventional loan before searching for a house. Both VU(Veterans United) and the other lender came back almost immediately after checking our credit and income with approvals. We began the house search and the process continued. Almost on a weekly basis new requirements came up from the underwriters resulting in many hours of research and distractions from the house hunting task. After several weeks of home searching and seemingly endless requests for IRS transcripts and bank statements and IRA statements and a copy of my DD214, we were informed, as I suspected all along, we were told that we were not eligible for the VA loan and would have to go conventional. At that point, I was ready to switch to the other lender but my wife and our real estate agent convinced me to stick with VU instead of starting midstream with the second lender.

I have used VUHL 4 times already in Hawaii and Seattle, 2 for home purchases and 2 for Mortgage Refinance and i have always had a great experience.

They fight hard for you. I had a couple of problems come up on my end. I did all I could do but they were on the phone calling in my behalf. Communication was great.
