Derek and his team made buying my first home with my VA loan a breeze. They basically walked me through the whole process of pre approval to final purchase. They answered any questions I had no matter if on a weekend or evening. Derek was able to move my closing date up a few days to avoid a severe storm forecasted for our area. I am very pleased with Veterans United. I had heard about them and they were recommended by other veterans on Facebook groups I follow. Highly recommend talking to them first when looking to purchase a home.
We’ve used VU twice and a smaller lender once for our three total times we’ve purchased a home using the VA Loan. Will highly recommend them over and over as we haven’t seen many other lenders top their customer service and support throughout the process. We always feel informed and like we’re part of the entire process during each step, whereas other lenders keep to themselves while working on things behind the scenes. Grateful for VU and will always recommend them for VA Loans.

As a first-time VA homebuyer, I had a lot of questions throughout the process, and they were incredibly patient, responsive, and professional from start to finish.Ryan always took the time to clearly explain each step — from loan options and rate questions to contract details and timelines. Nothing but issues!!! Someone dropped the ball and NO ONE would own up to it! Excuses for 10 days; closed late; encountered HUGE expense so we weren’t homeless; had to rearrange delivery of belongings twice from moving company! It was the worst experience of our lives!!!!

They asked for the same paperwork over and over. They asked for paperwork on things that are not relevant and for things I had already turned in. The staff were impatient and treated me like a nuisance.
The only issue I would address is buyer education. Although you have the educational videos I wouldn’t leave it to the buyer to review them. I would make it a requirement on the to do list to review those videos.
